I will never produce a Get Ready With Me video, and I could never properly frame a Clean with Me video, but if you like the virtual sociability of that kind of video, I invite you to open your laptop or notebook and write with me for twenty minutes.
Unedited. Raw. Real.
The earth-shattering footage of a writer flipping between her notebooks, checking her source, and only occasionally typing on the official document.
Turn up the volume for the sound of a coffee shop, but you might accidentally overhear another patron’s conversation that way, so you can also mute it, put in your headphones, and do what I do: look up “Pride and Prejudice hip-hop lo-fi” on YouTube. I’m only a little embarrassed.
What’s your ideal writing set-up? Do you need to combine analog writing with typing, like I do?
