Hapless chef edition
Start with a solid recipe, like Otto's grain-free, dairy-free one.
Realize three steps in that you don't have enough avocado oil.
Consider your options - olive oil has a strong flavor, but experience has taught you that coconut oil messes up the texture of baked goods…
Go with olive oil.
Huh, that smells very strong.
Tastes even stronger.
Maybe it will be better after you mix in all the ingredients.
Nope. Still tastes of olive oil. Did I mention you have to bring this to church tomorrow?
Triple the recommended spices. 1 tbsp cinnamon instead of 1 tsp, 1 tbsp cloves instead of 1 tsp. The recipe didn't even mention allspice or mace, but add a dash of those, too.
Add some vanilla and an extra half cup of sugar.
The batter tastes good now!
Bake it.
Bring it to church, share it with your parents, give it to your children.
Listen to everyone rave about how moist and flavorful it is.
Basically, you can triple the spices in a standard pumpkin bread recipe. You can probably skip the olive oil, though.

Oh the culinary panic! I'm glad it turned out for you.
